On Wednesday 19th November Lara the Spy Dog came to visit the school, along with her owner Andrew Cope.

Beech and Cherry Classes heard all about how Lara had inspired Andrew Cope to write a series of books about Spy Dog's adventures.

Ash Class also got to meet Lara and see some of her tricks ... like playing dead!

Andrew also found time to sign copies of his books, and to give away copies of the Spy Dog books to four lucky winners.

He then set a challenge asking the children to have a go at writing the opening chapter of a book about a pet gorilla who does extraordinary things. There would be a prize for the best entry - a copy of the fifth and final Spy Dog book, sent to the lucky winner before it is even on sale in the shops!
