School House Grand Opening

When the School House adjoining the School came up for sale, the County Council were asked to purchase it to be used as a much needed extension for the School.  On Wednesday 16th July, the Opening Ceremony was held.

Everyone then went outside to stand on the lawn in front of the School House for the Opening Ceremony and the cutting of the ribbon by Mr James Paice MP, who had helped to secure the purchase and planning permission for the Grade 2 listed building.  This was followed by country dancing by the children, after which people were invited to view the School House and enjoy a barbecue provided by the PTA.

All in all, it was a very happy evening.

The evening started with a Summer Concert given by all the children in the school.  It included Kennett School's Brass Band involving all Years 5 and 6 children, recorder groups, woodwind players, the younger children singing The Three Bears' Rap and the whole school joining in a Juke Box Selection.
