At Kennett Primary School we have a policy to encourage walking and cycling, and reduce the dependence on the car for travel on all school related journeys.
It includes:
- "Walk to School Week" where parents/carers are encouraged to park at Kennett Playing Field and walk to school.
- Twice a year children are loaned pedometers to count steps taken over a week and those gaining most steps are rewarded.
- Cycling proficiency lessons are given and the test taken by Year 6 (see photographs on the right).
