Kennett School PTA

We are a small but enthusiastic group of parents. Our main aim is to work with the local community to raise funds to help provide the very best learning environment for all of our children. We try to meet once a term, where we discuss how to raise funds and always welcome any new ideas and suggestions.

Over the past few years, annual fundraising events have included: Summer BBQ (with entertainment from the school children), the Christmas Bazaar and Car Boot Sales (x2 a year).  Fundraising totals more than £2,000 a year, all of which is spent on the children of the school, and equipment requested by the school or school council, comprising of children from each class.  We often provide refreshment at some of the school events held during the year too, such as concerts and special assemblies.

In the past the School PTA have funded/helped to fund: the bark chippings and new play equipment in the Spinney (see photographs), swimming pool play equipment and repairs, theatre trips (to Cambridge in 2006 and Bury St Edmunds in 2008), school trips, music equipment and residential trips (for families needing financial support).
